The Democrats did have an effective strategy though. They wouldn't give Barr a chance to respond during their time so Republicans would have to give him some of their time to reply to the complete bullshit the Democrats were spouting off about. Any time they set up a question with this is a yes or no question you know it is complete bullshit and worded in a way that both yes and no will provide a gotcha moment. Was fucking embarrassing to see members of congress behave in such a manner.

I've thought for a long time the person testifying should get the last 1/3 of each time allotment a committee member gets to respond uninterrupted. Both parties are really bad about just speaking to hear themselves speak or playing to the camera to get the one minute soundbite of the day so we learn nothing. Today was extremely bad.
