rank | Sat May 08 04:00:31 2021 Sort of a take off of Nhills crypto corner but for all investment discussions. Rising asset prices are posing increasing threats to the financial system, the Federal Reserve warned in a report Thursday. Fed Governor Lael Brainard said the situation bears watching and points up the importance of making sure the system has proper safeguards. "Asset prices may be vulnerable to significant declines should risk appetite fall," the central bank said. http://www...tocks-as-valuations-climb.html |

rank | Sat May 08 04:45:27 2021 Copper is ‘the new oil’ and low inventories could push it to $20,000 per ton, analysts say http://www...0000-per-ton-analysts-say.html |

rank | Sat May 08 05:41:37 2021 For long term investment I feel strongly clean energy, electric cars, and potentially hydrogen fuel based companies could pay off big over the next 2-3 decades. |

rank | Sat May 08 05:55:14 2021 For copper, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure with infrastructure builds, increased electronics/batteries and wharehouse stocks pretty low ATM couoled with fear of inflation copper is probably a decent investment. |

rank | Sat May 08 06:00:59 2021 Hrothgar, Along with electric cars/motors goes copper and rare earth's. Currently only one US rare earth mining company is publicly traded. "MP materials". US/Canadian governments are pushing to expand North American supplies of RE metals, so I think its a great buy. |

rank | Sat May 08 06:16:39 2021 I bought MP Materials stock at $11 when it was still a SPAC. Just sold it today, ironically enough. Made about 250% on the trade. You are wrong in saying it's the only publicly traded company, though. It's one of many. The best way to invest in Rare Earth and Strategic Metals is the $REMX ETF. |

rank | Sat May 08 06:56:36 2021 Nhill, US companies? |
Habebe
rank | Sat May 08 06:58:37 2021 Curiosity, what was your reasoning for selling MP Materials? |
nhill
rank | Sat May 08 07:06:09 2021 Rediversifying my portfolio. Slowly building up cash so I can buy other assets before the stock market drops in Q3. It was up 250%, so it was an easy prune. > Nhill, US companies? Ah, I missed the US part. Not specifically mining, but there is AXTI and LTHM for rare earth and special metals. But yeah, you're right, I believe, in claiming that there's only 1 US Rare Earth Mining Company. |

rank | Sat May 08 07:30:52 2021 Yeah, everyone is jist waiting for the drop in inflated asset prices....maybe I'll jist park my $ in something to shield against inflation until the drop than buy some shit on the cheap. |

rank | Sat May 08 07:35:08 2021 $AMLP is a nice safe choice. Fat dividend and oil will benefit from inflation. |

rank | Sat May 08 07:41:57 2021 ARAMCO is talking about a large deal to sell off a 1% stake in the company to I think* an in named nation. Plus I like the Saudis. Long story short I grew up around Saudis and had one live with US for the duration of the Gulf war (91?) I'll check out $amlp |

rank | Sat May 08 08:21:20 2021 i don't invest in anything other than maxing out the pre-tax 401k contributions. |
nhill
rank | Sat May 08 08:34:58 2021 That's investing in something. Probably a decent size investment. How did you allocate your portfolio? |
Forwyn
rank | Sat May 08 08:49:29 2021 Commodities are great, but have you liquidated your 401k to buy Doge yet? |

rank | Sat May 08 08:52:39 2021 I just invested in mostly tech and edtech companies after shorting oil. Done pretty well there. Most of the money to be made is understanding how and where supply chains will be disrupted and how it relates to incompetent governments and the pandemic. For example, I fully expect China to remain open and for China-based supply shortages to dissipate soon. 10% of my portfolio is crypto because why not ride this dumbass wave. 10% of my portfolio is now like 85% of my gains for the last year even though the rest of my portfolio has done very well and I worked way harder at tracking relevant data and projecting outcomes for the rest of my portfolio. Did some profit-taking and sold 20% of my crypto stake. I'm ahead no matter what there at least for now. |

rank | Sat May 08 08:53:00 2021 You'd have to be an idiot to invest in $DOGE. Feel free to day trade it though. |
habebe
rank | Sat May 08 09:05:14 2021 Doge seems similar to lotto tickets, except we all know it will actually drop alot* very soon. plus its already around .60, so it cant go much higher. Lets say it jumps to 1.00 USD. That's not even a doubling of value, plus you have figure in fees (gas). I don't know the specifics on Doge but Ive been looking into Crypto lately and you can easily estimate growth potential and ROI by figuring out what market cap would need to be to reach coin value X. If it needs a.market cap of 100 trillion to reach X, than its not going to happen anytime soon considering all cryptos is worth a little over 2 trillion. |

rank | Sat May 08 09:16:31 2021 Tbis semi conductor shortage could be lucrative. NXP looks interesting and about half of their sales comes from autos (Tesla) |

rank | Sun May 09 12:41:45 2021 Doge crashed during Elon's SNL appearance, lol. http://mob...iss/status/1391244857876705283 |

rank | Sun May 09 22:39:46 2021 Standard stuff. Buy the rumor, sell the news. Anyone holding onto DOGE yesterday doesn't understand social sentiment investing. |
habebe
rank | Mon May 10 01:18:09 2021 Yeah Doge was the new Gamestonk. Elon is funding a rocket now totally off of Dogs, literally to the moon. I think for him it's a fun joke and publicity stunt. last week he did warn people about investing in crypto for now. |
habebe
rank | Mon May 10 01:20:09 2021 But again, he has said plenty of times, he isn't a stock market guy, he usually only holds stocks and such that are tied to him (Tesla, spacex etc.) he thinks playing the market is boring and he has limited time to change the world so investing isnt his thing. |

rank | Mon May 10 02:23:57 2021 I still think the best buy is usually real estate. You can generally make more companies and technology. We only have finite land. |
Nimatzo
rank | Mon May 10 10:03:17 2021 Yea, until Elon starts sending rocket to the moon and builds condos there. Have you seen the view from the moon? You can see every view of earth from thetr. No real estate on earth can give you all the possible views. |
