Government bonds doubled in value Credit rating upgraded Mileis approval ratings makes him the third most popular leader globally. 65% approve vs 30% disapprove. Suck it haters. Also socialism is cancer. |

Member | Sat Feb 15 05:19:00 "in 6 months" "first time in 6 month" Is that the wording for still worse than when he took office? Because that was 14 months ago. |

Member | Sun Feb 16 12:10:34 LOL what an idiot http://dec...-milei-launch-solana-meme-coin Argentina’s President Javier Milei Launches Solana Meme Coin—LIBRA Crashes 89% A Solana meme coin shared by Argentina's President Javier Milei skyrocketed Friday, then collapsed. LATEST (Feb. 15 9:20am ET): President Milei deleted the original X post promoting the meme coin late Friday night, claiming in a new post that he wasn't aware of the details behind the project before sharing it to his 3.8 million followers. "A few hours ago I posted a tweet, as I have countless times before, supporting an alleged private venture with which I obviously have no connection," he wrote in a post. "I wasn’t informed of the project’s details, and after learning about them I decided not to continue promoting it (that’s why I deleted the tweet)." To the filthy rats of the political caste who want to take advantage of this situation to do harm," Milei continued, "I want to say that every day they confirm just how despicable politicians are, and it only strengthens our resolve to kick their asses." LIBRA continued to plunge following the move, and now sits at a market cap of just $167 million—a 96% plunge from the peak. |

iChihuaha | Mon Feb 17 03:20:09 It was reckless of him to retweet a meme coin launch, no doubt. But unless he actually has ties to the project, you are making a mountain out of a mole hill. We have to put that reckless retweet next to saving Argentina from the socialist cancer (TBD). I have noted the retweet. Fair is fair. |
Nimatzo
iChihuaha | Mon Feb 17 03:23:41 And I mean at the end of the day, if Milei fails he will just join AAAAAALLLL the socialist politicians who came before him and destroyed Argentina. Did you people give a shit about about them? Of course not. You peddlers of empty slogans and vacuous virtue signaling. |

I'm not making anything out of it. I just thought it was hilarious that the day you start a thread praising his performance, he goes and does something that stupid. :o) |

iChihuaha | Mon Feb 17 07:14:04 That is literally what I responded to, whether you appreciate it or not. This is the third thread or follow up I make of Milei. If only because so many either wished him to fail or told us he was doomed to fail. So far he has been winning. |

Member | Mon Feb 17 18:51:23 I'll have to take the word of whoever compiled those stats for now, but I have a hard time believing that Argentina can cut government spending, devalue their currency, and reduce poverty at the same time. |

Member | Thu Feb 20 12:36:33 LOL http://research.nansen.ai/articles/libra-the-aftermath LIBRA was minted on February 14, 2025, at 21:38 UTC. At 22:01 UTC, Milei tweeted about it, sparking market interest, with snipers joining in simultaneously. By 22:44 UTC, the token’s price surged to a peak of $4.55, marking a dramatic rise within an hour of its creation, only to immediately fall. LIBRA’s unraveling truly began after the token was “rugged,” with Hayden Davis later dismissing it as just a meme coin in stark contrast to its initial framing as a tool for Argentina’s economy. Meanwhile, Milei quietly deleted his endorsement tweet as backlash mounted (only long after the price had already plummeted 80% from its peak), later stating that he was not familiar with the details of the project. Adding to the controversy, Davis told Coffeezilla that Milei had no financial stake in $LIBRA, but the damage was done by then. With the token already collapsed and Milei’s backing erased, holders were left questioning if this was ever more than a speculative insider play. |

Member | Sun Feb 23 08:03:04 This thread had nothing to do with the meme coin scam. That was just a coincidence. This was originally about Milei's performance in office so far. A case can be made that he's doing well, though I am personally skeptical. - |

Member | Sun Feb 23 08:08:45 He's a complete carbon copy of Trump. He's also known for being a misogynist, which seals the deal for Alpha Boi "his embrace of conspiracy theories,[244] including the Cultural Marxism conspiracy theory.[245] He has also called the idea of climate change as an anthropogenic phenomenon "a socialist lie" and said that concerns about it are nothing more than "deceptions promoted by the neo-Marxists",[246][234] as are those related to the attempts to overturn the 2020 United States presidential election.[247] Echoing Donald Trump, he also claimed electoral fraud ahead of the 2023 presidential runoff.[248][249] Like other right-wing populists, his rhetoric focuses on opposing what he calls "the political caste".[250] Milei's party was criticized for including among his candidates alleged neo-Nazis and apologists for the National Reorganization Process.[74] During his political career, Milei has also been involved in several investigations and has been accused of having a violent attitude toward journalists and critics, as well as of misogynistic behavior, including toward women in journalism.[39] " |

Member | Sun Feb 23 08:17:32 "04 January 2025 Argentina’s poverty rate accelerated to a peak of 52.9 percent in the first half of 2024, the highest level in almost two decades, but at least two reports say the situation has since improved. With inflation tumbling from a peak of a monthly 25.5 percent and wages recovering some of the lost ground, the number of poor people had been reduced to as low as 36.8 percent by the end of the second half of last year, according to some private estimates." http://www...y-rate-has-fallen-to-368.phtml |

Member | Sun Feb 23 08:31:46 Youre never worth reading or talking to, habitual liar, but from your own article ""The current panorama shows an aggravation of the situation in this sense - multidimensional poverty (measured as income plus one lack) increased inter-annually from 39.8 to 41.6 percent and within that figure structural poverty (three wants or more) also rose from 22.4 to 23.9 percent," " |

iChihuaha | Sun Feb 23 09:20:41 murder Any realistic scenario with the shape Argentina was in would result in a temporary rise in poverty. If you have to make massive cuts to state spending will inevitably result in increased poverty. What is inportant to keep track of going forward is that the positive trends with poverty and unemployment continue. So far everything has unfolded as expected. Most importantly some negative trends have been broken, namely inflation, foreign investment and overall health of state finances. Foreign investment will be very important to reduce poverty and unemployment. |
