“Based on the request of Pakistan and other Countries, the tremendous Military Success that we have had during the Campaign against the Country of Iran and, additionally, the fact that Great Progress has been made toward a Complete and Final Agreement with Representatives of Iran, we have mutually agreed that, while the Blockade will remain in full force and effect, Project Freedom (The Movement of Ships through the Strait of Hormuz) will be paused for a short period of time to see whether or not the Agreement can be finalised and signed.”

Well, it was kind of a success. The Maersk ship the US got out was under DoD contract. Another ship got out too. Making it Ships as two is plural.

I think the whole huffha was about getting that one ship out. Then hopefully, maybe, it would start a stampede of merchant ships leaving. Iran can shoot them all after all.

Sadly, insurers and shipowners were not overwhelmed with confidence.

But hey, the market was pumped to new highs. So now we wait for the sad news that will sink the market again. Its like a weekly pump-dump cycle insiders can get very rish off.

Pakistan was upset with the prospect of ships making it out of the gulf without paying Iran a toll ... or something.
