Thirdly, if Trump has been behaving like a dictator, then this is one of the most bizarre "dictatorships" the world has ever seen, what with the robust opposition by the judiciary, press, House, and local governments. Fourth, those "governors and mayors" you refer to have allowed the situation in their cities to spiral out of control by essentially siding with the mob and selectively sidelining the police from enforcing the law. In pretty much every other period of rioting that the country has seen since the 1960s, we would have had armed MPs on the streets by now. If you want to accuse Trump of overstepping his authority, then he is merely compensating for the dereliction of duty exercised by those local officials.
