Oops.

The first article does not mention anything related to BLM and the owner is quoted as saying it was not political (which he couldn't know). The second article spins it to be entirely political.

And none of the local news sites are reporting anything regarding the clothing or intentions of the shooter other than police say this guy's clothing matched the clothing seen on video. And of course that second link is a site that's notorious for publishing bullshit and lies.

yeah, the 2nd article is highly questionably written

& wearing a shirt doesn't make you an 'activist'

they provide nothing to indicate it's related to BLM (+ one dead person is black)

The "Justice for Breonna Taylor shirt" definitely has a political bend to it, but it'll be interesting to see if that informed the crime. Just like if someone killed someone else while wearing a "MAGA" hat, there would still need to be a check for motive.

The second article mentions, "Two of the victims were white and one was black", so if it was a racial attack, then the killer fucked up. Maybe he just got bored of quarantine and cracked? ;)

"The "Justice for Breonna Taylor shirt" definitely has a political bend to it..."

When I looked this morning, that detail had not been reported by any real news outlet (I haven't bothered to look since). Considering the source, that detail is suspect at best.

Yeah, not many good sources for the claim; most just link back to that GatewayPundit story. It was someone claiming to know the business (Sherry Embry) who posted on social media that it was a Taylor shirt, but that may just be circular (i.e., maybe she heard it and repeated it). Michael Rhynes Jr (the killer) *is* pictured wearing a t-shirt with a face on it in his arrest picture, but from the angle of the picture it may as well be a cartoon character. I haven't matched that t-shirt with any online Breonna Taylor shirts, so if it's a Taylor shirt, then it's not a popular one.

Witnesses saw Rhynes' clothing, and that's how police identified him for arrest, so someone on scene has info. Rhynes will be arraigned on Monday, so there should be more details tomorrow.

The misinformation clears up:
[Louisville Courier Journal; September 21st, 2020]
http://www...vidence-about-race/5855986002/
"Rhynes, who has no violent criminal history prior to Friday's shootings, was wearing a shirt that said "#Freedom," [Louisville Metro Police Department Lieutenant Donny Burbrink] said Monday, and included an image of the faces of Muhammad Ali and Colin Kaepernick. The detective said Breonna Taylor, the 26-year-old Black woman shot and killed by LMPD officers this year in a case that has sparked more than 100 days of protests in the city, was not referenced on the shirt."

So not a Breonna Taylor shirt but still a political shirt. They still have no motive, though, and police think it may have been random.
