Just when us Americans feel our government is useless, the EU makes use feel less horrible about it.

Well, how hard would it have been to do that? The EU long ago gave up any hopes of having Turkey join, and the Greek/Cypriot complaints arent unreasonable.

Cypress really doesnt sound unreasonable here. Turkey is apparently the new guy on the scene trying to drill for gas in the region where Greece, cypress and Egypt have had a previous agreement.

Plus if you join something like the EU, its so you have protection in numbers.

Is there a reason why the EU is siding with Turkey over there own state?

Well, Jared would probably have gotten a deal. You know everyone mocked that guy when he was put up to get a ME peace deal and he really hit it out of the park.

Not only did he get the UAE and Bahrain to acknowledge Israel, Saudis Arabia is now debating it apparently.

That's pretty much the whole anti Iran faction if the Kingdom joins, cant ask for better than that.
