Lol, physical bravery is one of my things. I wear a mask when warranted (on business in the south for example).

Now, if it had been a question of emotional bravery, you might have had a point (I am quite detached in rl. Like you would expect from a Norwegian).

"Anyway I think you need atleast 10 days with no symptoms at the minimum."

For mild cases it is 10 days since symptom onset along with no fever and all symptoms are improving (with the exception of loss of taste and/or smell). All three conditions need to be met.

It is longer for those with more severe cases of COVID-19. Sometimes up to 20 days. The timeline is determined by the doctors.

Trump was very brave and waited until the stock market closed, thanks to this I'm still almost rich:

http://www...l-stay-as-white-house-deflects

Two sources said doctors gave Trump an ultimatum: he could go to the hospital while he could still walk, or doctors would be forced to take him in a wheelchair or on a stretcher at a later point if his health deteriorated. “They told him, ‘You can go now or we’re taking you later and it’s non negotiable,’” a second source close to the White House said. Trump waited to leave for the hospital until the stock market closed on Friday, a source said.

mt, that doesn't make any logical sense whatsoever. You said that I can't have a social life because I don't go out in public. I said it's perfectly reasonable to both have a social life and not go in public, because WE ARE ALL POSTING ON A BOARD FOR A VIDEO GAME THAT WAS EXTREMELY SOCIAL - aka one can have plenty of social life online. Posting here from your phone has literally nothing to do with that. Did you think I was somehow accusing you of not having a social life because you post here? Cause if you did, you're extremely retarded.

Also, stop projecting with all this "vindictive" crap. You're terrible at pulling insults out of your ass that have any bearing on reality.

I’m starting to think that this is all fake. Trump never had covid-19. It’s fake. To gain sympathy votes.

Trump and his people saw how Bolsonaro’s popularity increased after he recovered from covid-19, so Trump’s campaign strategist came up with the idea to lie to the American people that Trump has covid-19 to gain sympathy.

As long as they do not release Trump's hospital records, to allow independent experts to validate them, then we should see Trump's hospital stay as fake.

It's because it's more about him being a cult leader than anything logical. To be honest it reminds me of my personal background of growing up and living many adult years as a Mormon. One just cannot grasp how the leadership of one's own group is massively wrong and even abusing them when within the belief structure of cult manipulation.

Trump is a cult of personality president. Reason and logic are gone to those who honestly thing he's a good person or a good leader. Because he inspires nationalistic teary eyed feelings within them during scripted speeches set to music, and those feelings just have to mean he's good and true.

Cult.

There is also a trait shares about followers and haters alike, that they often disregard the actual issue when considering to agree or disagree with it.

Even if he goes back to the White House, he's still going to be getting daily treatment. It'll be like being in the hospital without the emergency shit in case a patient crashes (and they probably have at least some of that anyway).

If he was smart, he'd give it another day or two before he went back. Plenty of instances of people seeming to be fine/recovering early on and then crashing quickly. I really don't think people's views on him will change, nor will it hurt or help his reelection chances.

There is plenty to be skeptical of experts in general.

For starters so called experts are usually at odds, so which one do you pick?

Also history has taught us that experts are often wrong. How many experts wrote papers in the 70s that the world couldn't support feeding 4 billion people?

Thats not to say plenty are not right. But it depends on the field of study and many other things of which im no expert on.:)

Nate Silver, whom I am a fan of, was horribly wrong about Trump, especially early on.

Even those that get things right at times its important to knownthe details.of.how they came.to.such a conclusion.

I was shocked to find out Alex Jones ( absolute nut job) was very right on things many experts were not. If that guy cam accurately predict 9/11 and the FBI/CIA and the US military couldn't that doesnt say much for them.

> Nate Silver, whom I am a fan of, was horribly wrong about Trump, especially early on.

Odd example to pick. Nate Silver famously took crap in 2016 for "overstating" Trump's chances.

By election day he was giving Trump a 30% chance of winning. IMO occurrence of 30% probability event is pretty ho hum. Not the never-gonna-happen event implied by the hacks who were calling 98% probability of a Hillary win. His models were a) in line with the Trump campaigns own estimates and b) gave Trump much better odds than most. One touchdown underdogs in spread betting have about a 30% chance of winning outright. Missing a win by a 6.5 point underdog isn't a total meltdown a la HuffPo.

FWIW, I got more than a 30% chance surprise out of it when it happened.

Chuck, I specifically chose Nate as the example because he generally more respected than most experts in the field. Pointing out that even the cream of the crop in regards to experts can be wrong. In the early stages of the election hebgave Trump like 2% chance for example.

Nate himself admits to acting more like a pundit and citing that as his reasoning as to why he got it wrong.

Tumbleweed, Well, thats not optimal either. The funny thing about it is that Trumps decision making shares some similar flaws to experts.

For starters his own confidence in his self proclaimed expert opinion.

IMHO* I think its generally a good idea to consult* multiple beleived experts as well as thw underlying data. What is an expert but someone who interprets data and is well versed in the specific subject.

However sometimes experts are prone to being rigidness and overconfidence in their own opinion.

So it's also important to favtor in how frequently that particular expert has been right.Look at Alex Jones, he has got a few things right, but probably is way wrong almost all the time.

Then there is also the matter of what exactly qualifies an expert.

do you think Trump has reviewed "underlying data" ever?

by expert i mean just anyone w/ knowledge on a topic... he hates those people

Biggest problem with being skeptical of experts:

most people do not have the capacity to understand when and why they should be skeptical. So instead of reasonable skepticism, you get a bunch of ignorant idiots refusing to consider that they might be wrong.

I actually agree with hood here.

Those same people are the problem with letting everyine have a vote too though.

It always bothered me that there always seemed to be more " get out the vote" movements compared to " inform the voters"

well the disease-spewing bag is back at the White House (which probably had been thoroughly cleaned)... first thing he did was remove his mask

a totally pointless act just to pretend he's going to do work, when he'll just be back to his typical days of TV watching

i imagine the heaps of other infected staffers are not still working in the White House
