Utopia Talk / Politics / The worst answer to a question
Fri Oct 09 19:28:25
"You'll know my opinion on court packing when the election is over. Now look, I know...it's a great question, we all, and I don't blame you for asking. But you know the moment I answer that question, the headline in every one of your papers will be about that."

-Joe Biden, on whether he would act to destroy the independence of the judiciary should he become president

"Vote for me to learn what my policies are!" is a...unique...strategy, I admit. Especially when the "policies" in question are in regards to dismantling the American structure of government as we know it.

Can AG Barr do his job and arrest this traitor to the republic already?

It's because

1. They dont want to have words on record to use against them and make it more unpalatable whrn they do it.

2. They dont want to say no and discourage their base.

3.They will likely play it ny ear but want to pack the court.

The dems will say, do you want justice from a Trump appointee? And that will be that. You shitheads will howl but too many white evangelicals will be dead for it to matter in future elections.

Not that Rugian understands jurisprudence anyways. He actually thinks the incompetent kleptocrats Trump appointed are on his side.

Stupid shit.

I get you Dukhat, they're not on my side. Rather, they're on the side of successful billionaires like yourself, men of might and means for whom laws do not apply.

Oh how I wish I could walk in your footsteps, my oligarchical friend.

Biden doesn't want to pack the court but he can't lose the votes of the Bernie Bros.

And he basically plagiarized his answer from Nancy from when she said we need to pass the bill to see what is in it. The idea was changed enough to fit his situation but his handlers basically gave him the same answer Nancy gave us.

Even if Biden personally doesnt want to back the court, I doubt hes going to the one directing policy in his administration.

Also, if he wins, then we're likely to get President Harris by 2022 or so. And she absolutely wants to courtpack.

Biden would have to veto expanding federal courts if the legislatures decide that is what they want to do.

All perfectly legal if the plan has the votes for it. Sorry that the conservative supreme court for a generation seems to have a slight flaw in practice.

I don't think there is much point in you engaging anyone you disagree with.

You will probably feel better after the election.

He doesn't want to say "it depends on if we win a majority in the US Senate, which is currently much less likely than just deposing Trumpitard".

Which would be completely accurate.

Wait, does Dukhat actually claim to be wealthy? Like Mexitard claims to be a hollywood producer?
Sat Oct 10 22:20:51
Well, me working in the industry is more likely than dukhat being a billionaire.
