Watching harris right now, rofl, she isnt asking questions she is literally reading a stump speech. What a doofus.

Can't knock it though. Its a Trump move. The difference is that Ive seen mainstream media just cut filming on Trump for that.

It is clearly a stump speech.

Its also meant to make her look presidential.

Biden is a transition potus. Transitioning to a Harris/Pelosi presidency.

Nah, trump would get into a hostile argument not read a speech. Harris is afraid to ask questions which is ironic because she was an attorney general, one would think she could present legal arguments but i guess she spent more time sucking her way up rather than focusing on the law.

Obam
She is a vice presidential candidate. Don't expect spectacular with the lead the democrats have. The strategy is go give Trump no help at all.

Speaking of stump speeches. Graham did nothing but that. 538 poll data on SC Senate is old (before Trump got sick). Graham seems very worried and has more up to date internal polling.

Graham will be reelected. Honestly the best chance to get rid of him is to have a primary challenger. I can attest he is not liked here because he is slimy. But Harrison is a Pelosi liberal. In SC you might as well have run Lucifer, Prince. Of Darkness himself.

An old school blue dog Democrat with good funding and support could beat him too.

The Democrats ran some tranny against McConnell, that didnt work out well either.

I know the place is bad, but does Satan really have close to 50% support in the State?
Habebe

I mean, Id vote for him.

Harrisons support is overstated im the polls Compared to how he will fare in actual votes.

Actually in a 3 way race, Satan may win that as long as he doesnt go againat the 2nd amendment.... It is SC after all.

Its a fascinating case study though.

Harrison has raised more money than any Senator ever in a race. And ad space is relatively cheap, that money goes a long way....Im really sick of political ads.

The only thing that gets more airplay is that commercial about molesting boy Scouts.

Are dems really crying because she owns a gun? Are dems really that fucking disconnected from reality? Holy fucking shit! What percentage of american adults own guns outside liberal cities? 99%?

One of the likely things that could happen is revisiting disenfranchment.

Barrett may rule that taking the vote and guns away from felons is unconstitutional.

Funny that if you are conservative enough, you almost become left wing (given what demographics disproportionately lose gun and voting rights).

There will not be anyone from any Party in the US taking guns. Hell you don't get much more liberal than Bernie Sanders and he keeps getting re elected in a gun owning state.

Voting rights is for the most part a Southern thing. They've practiced suppression for 150 years. Fix one thing and they open their box of tricks and come up with another.

I was talking about giving back guns, not taking them away.

PAtom, Vermont is rather unique. Personally I love the state. It tends to be the good kind of liberal. The entire state is just a bunch of Mountain towns it seems.

I used to go when I was a kid to aunt Hanalores place, her and my uncle Pete met at a ski competition in Switzerland and ran a ski lodge on Killington until he passed away from brain cancer.

But Id say gun rights putside of the cities is pretty popular all along the east coast. More hunters.

I am saying that Basett is conservative enough to think that the felony loss of voting and gun rights is unconstitutional.

Something that benefits black and hispanics disproportionately.

Jergul, She probably has a very strong Libertarian streak as she is a Koch supported judge.

Imo its less of being really conservative and more a sect of conswrvatives. Libeetarians caucus with Republicans like the greens caucus with the Dems.

I am speaking of her legal position.

The Constitution does in no way suggest that 2nd and 17th(?) ammendment rights are condition to anything other than citizenship and age.

I wish we could actually find out what sort of a judge the person is. Now its just Republicans kissing her ads, Democrats showboating and trying to get her to admit that she secretly is Super Hitler.

Mt biggest pet peeve with politicians, more on the left bit on both sides is this notion that a judge should rule against the law or for it on whether thw effwct od the law is " good" or not.

That is not a judge's job. Thats a legislatures job. So if the court says it's unconstitutional and it negatively impacts 10 million people, the judge should factor in in is it legal, NOT the woethiness of the effect.

"So if the court says it's unconstitutional and it negatively impacts 10 million people, the judge should factor in in is it legal, NOT the woethiness of the effect."

As example the eminent domain decision the Supreme Court handed down a few years ago. The Supreme Court said the case wasn't a federal issue but a state issue so they couldn't overturn the case. In the written opinion they argued that the law wasn't a good law and urged the state legislators to change the law.

The case was land was taken from home owners so a developer could build a hotel and shopping complex. It was allowed because the city claimed the hotel would be a boon for the community.

The faggot left-wing, including faggot RBG, ruled that "community interest" is a valid cop-out for governments to force people to give up land to megacorps, specifically big pharma.

The hero of the left. lulz

Kargen, Listen Im all for the court recommending and even allowing transition time if a ruling has a great negative impact.

In that sense the court should consider the impact of the ruling. But it should not effect its decision is my stance.

Eminent domain is in fact fine, but compensation has to be high. What is a property worth really?

It should overcome transingence, but not provide cheap property to government or developers.

One constitutional anchor is treaties being the supreme law of the land. The US is bound internationally to recognizing the principles of expropriation and compensation.

Just the standard revisionism by leftist faggot judges. "Public use" is pretty clear language.

"Oh that's okay that also means 'public benefit deriving from private use'.
