Utopia Talk / Politics / Voting machines...alarming

Not alarming that there is fraud or even miscoints or anything. The defendants argument against having the machined inspected is what's alarming.

The defendants also argued that allowing experts working for plaintiffs to inspect the machines “would pose substantial security and proprietary/trade secret risks,” Batten’s order says.

That sounds really fucking shady that they are not subject to regular inspection by multiple parties.

Trump is trying to sow doubt, but shennanigans like that only help his case.

Of course, in reality, the federal government oversees and ratifies any code used in these elections.

So... yeah... unless Trump is alleging that his own branch of government conspired to remove him from office, then its nonsense.

Nothing new. Or do you considered such things a problem in 2016, too?

Also, the machines used go through a public test prior to the election. So again... nonsense.

If that's the case, then why argue that?

You seem to.be under the perception that I think Trumpa claims are credible and massive voter fraud caused Biden to win. I thought I made that clear.

My point is that for ALL elections these machines should be subject to regular and random tests and inspections.

"My point is that for ALL elections these machines should be subject to regular and random tests and inspections. "

They are. You just are only allowed to test, not inspect the code, etc... That is only done by the federal government.

In the case of Georgia, how many tests and cross tests would ever satisfy Trump? They had an election and the paper ballots were counted by a machine.
They had a manual recount which gave them the same results.
Which Trump owned laboratory would you like the machines and ballots to be turned over to?

PAtom, Its not about satisfying Trump.

Its about transparency in elections in general. If these machines dont allow that, we shouldn't use them, ever.
