A man was stabbed to death late Sunday night, continuing a weekend of violence in Baltimore during which two other men died and seven more people were injured, police said.

At approximately 10:20 p.m., Northeast District patrol officers responded to the 5700 block of Willowton Ave. for a report of a cutting, the Baltimore Police Department said in a news release early Monday morning.

Once at the location in the Loch Raven neighborhood in Northeast Baltimore, officers located a man suffering from apparent stab wounds to the body, the release said. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died.

The weekend violence began Saturday with officers assigned to the department’s Western District first responding around 4 a.m. after reports of a shooting in the 300 block of N. Stricker St., police said.

Police said they found a man there in the city’s Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood suffering from gunshot wounds.

Medics drove the man to a hospital, where he died, police said. Homicide detectives have assumed the investigation.

Later in the day, around 11:30 a.m., Northwest District police officers said they responded to a shooting about two miles away from the first. They found a 22-year-old man at the 3100 block of Tioga Parkway suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital with injuries that weren’t life-threatening.

At 7:30 p.m., Southwest District officers responded to the 1900 block of Braddish Ave. for a report of an aggravated assault. They located an unresponsive man suffering from signs of trauma to the body, police said.

Medics pronounced him dead at the scene. Homicide detectives are investigating.

Less than an hour later, at the 100 block of Irving St., police said they found another man who had been shot. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.

A little after 10 p.m., police said a 5-year-old boy’s arm was grazed by a bullet that crashed through the window of his home. Officers were investigating a report of a shooting at 10:04 p.m. in the 2200 block of Wilkens Ave. when they found the 5-year-old suffering from the gunshot wound.

He was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries that weren’t life-threatening.

On Sunday, officers from the Southwest District responded to a report of person who walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound at around 2:25 p.m., police said.

Police said a 45-year-old man was suffering from a single gunshot wound after a man shot him while he was in the 2800 block of Ganley Drive. He is expected to survive his injuries.

A little before 4 p.m., police say that three people were shot in the city’s Franklin Square neighborhood.

Officers from the Western District were responding to a report of an assault in progress at 3:54 p.m. when they heard multiple shots being fired in the area of the 1800 and 1900 block of W. Fayette St, police said.

According to the department, a woman was found shot in the 1800 block and two men were found shot in the 1900 block, all of whom were taken to the hospital to be treated.

While the department did not specify the extent of the victims’ injuries, police said one of the men’s injuries were severe enough that homicide detectives have been notified about the incident.
