I think the troops should have returned home before now. That said I think it was a mistake for President Biden to announce a hard date for full removal. It was especially bad picking the date he did. That date isn't just significant for the US.

We have to give advanced notice so NATO countries can also withdraw. There is only 3500 soldiers there now.
