The departing officers have cited what they call an anti-police climate in Seattle, City Council policies and disagreements with police department leadership.

Its normally a pretty good job with good pay... typically over 100k(great for low skill police work)... and good benefits, so turnover is low(most seattle suburbs are a great place to live too). So based on a 30 year career, we would expect 50 officers to depart in a given year... in reality it would be more because even at low turnover jobs not everyone makes 30 years. So 100 is probably a good number for normal departures, making 200 a significant abberation.
