India is a shithole. A right-wing conservative nationalist shit hole. Like Brazil. The US was kind of there too but Biden came just in time, in the last minute, and took control of the situation and things are starting to look better in the US again, I believe.

But in India, they are burning dead people on the streets because their government basically suck at everything except at creating discord and conflict in the country.

So now socialist countries/taxpayers in Europe (and the US) has got to finance aid to them.

Paramount, What was Biden's silver bullet? Vaccines?

IDK what europe is sending, the US is sending 100 million worth of stuff.

This may have a long term silver lining for India. Its by and large effecting the sick and elderly as I understand it, they already have a good looking worker/dependant ratio, over the next 10 years they could really do a lot to lift themselves out of poverty.

” What was Biden's silver bullet?”

Not being Trump? Not believing that covid can be cured by injecting disinfectants. Not dismissing covid as a regular cold. And of course the vaccines too. It is possible that Biden has a better team also.

I mean that there are a lot of players who are majorly responsible for getting Americans vaccinated...but Biden isn't any one of those people.

President Biden gets good approval for things that were in place before he came to office. THe handling of Covid being an example. All the stuff happening now was already on track to happen. THe areas where President Biden is getting a negative rating is where he has reversed earlier policies like at the border.

The Trump admin was an absolute mess when it came to organizing and distributing vaccine doses. There's no way we'd have the good rollout we do if the same people were still in charge.

We can give Trump credit for emergency use authorizations, but that's about it.

Yeah, Hood's a fucking liar, as usual. By the time Trump left office, the US was distributing nearly 5 million shots a day and administering almost 1 million.

Chad Biden really pumped up distribution.

More like Virgin Biden just managed to maintain a linear trend.

And then he massively fucked up the messaging by saying that you can't go back to normal even if you are fully vaccinated. Which undercuts the entire fucking point of getting the vaccine in the first place.

Oh, I can hang around outside without a mask if I'm fully vaccinated, as long as I'm not in a crowd! Thanks Uncle Joe!

Fucking senile idiot.

Paramount, "not being Trump" yeah, great argument....

The game changer wad vaccines.Which really cant be contributed to Biden. Trump can get some credit for the political end, but really most credit goes to federal R&D.

Yeah, he recited the science instead of making shit up. The mutant variants are still out there and you can still get cold symptoms from Covid 19 even when vaccinated which means you can still spread the disease which can kill someone that's not vaccinated.

Cuckservatives are so fucking stupid.

"which can kill someone that's not vaccinated."

Well thats their fault for not being vaccinated.

Except it is in everyone's interest to do what they can to prevent as much further spread as possible. Less spread means a quicker end to public/social limitations and smaller chance for new variants that are impacted less by the vaccine.

Of course, this is the type of logic that is lost on retards like Rugian and other cultists (and of course the retards on the other side that fear vaccines).

What has Bolsonaro said about Covid?

The president has been highly sceptical about the need to take decisive action to tackle the pandemic:

he has called Covid "just a little flu"

rejected a nationwide lockdown, saying such measures only made the poor poorer

called state governors and mayors who imposed lockdown "tyrants"

cast doubts on the efficacy and safety of jabs and said he wouldn't get vaccinated

joked the Pfizer jab may "turn people into crocodiles"

dismissed opportunities to purchase millions of vaccine doses

told people to "stop whining" about the situation

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-56663217

So Brazil didn’t want to buy vaccine, but now Brazil’s right-wing conservative government want you to send all your sprare vaccines to Brazil:

Brazil calls on countries to share spare vaccines

Countries should share spare vaccine doses with Brazil to help the global fight against COVID-19 and meet the battered country's goal of inoculating all citizensby year-end, Brazilian Health Minister Marcelo Queiroga said on Friday.

Brazil on Thursday became the second country to pass 400,000 COVID-19 deaths after the United States. Experts warned the daily toll could remain high for several months due to a slow vaccination rate and loosening social restrictions

Experts have blamed the death toll on the failure of government - from President Jair Bolsonaro down to many state governors and mayors - to launch a robust response to the pandemic.

Such BS. If this is so, why are his followers the #1 anti-vaccine/anti-covid preventative measure citizens? The primary reason for it is because they were told such by Trump and Trump cult talking heads himself.

I agree most things currently helping the US Covid situation were in play as Trump's chapter came to a close, but Biden is far ,FAR more capable at handling the marshalling of those resources in smart, workable ways.

And let's be honest, it's not really like Biden is some kind of wonderkind politician. It just feels like to a great many people compared to the shit leadership that was the chaotic, divisive Trump admin.

False. Trump touted the vaccines from before they were developed.

Also, Im not sure his followers are the number one group against vaccinations. They are a big chunk, but Im pretty sure black females are a leading cause. They are atleast number 2.

Study: Black Americans, women, conservatives more hesitant to trust COVID-19 vaccine
Thirty-one percent of respondents to a Texas A&M-led survey said they don't intend to be vaccinated against COVID-19

TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY

Research News

A survey of approximately 5,000 Americans suggests that 31.1 percent of the U.S. public does not intend to get the COVID-19 vaccine once it becomes available to them - and the likelihood of vaccine refusal is highest among Black Americans, women and conservatives.

Timothy Callaghan, assistant professor at the Texas A&M University School of Public Health, led the study with the aim of better understanding the intentions of the American public regarding vaccines. The results were recently published in Social Science and Medicine.

According to the study, survey respondents answered a series of questions about their behaviors and attitudes about COVID-19, including why or why not they intend to pursue vaccination. Women are 71 percent more likely to not to pursue vaccination, researchers found, followed by Blacks at 41 percent.

Survey results also showed that politics play a role: each one-point increase in conservatism increases the odds of vaccine refusal by 18 percent. Those who said they intended to vote for President Donald Trump in the presidential election - the survey was conducted in mid-2020 - were 29 percent more likely to refuse vaccination.

[kargen]: "President Biden gets good approval for things that were in place before he came to office. THe handling of Covid being an example. All the stuff happening now was already on track to happen."
[Hrothgar]: "I agree most things currently helping the US Covid situation were in play as Trump's chapter came to a close"

Glad we all agree! (Weird that Hrothgar contradicted himself before he agreed, but he *did* agree) ;p

Leading into the 2020 election, in specific regards to COVID, I had been saying that it does not matter who wins the election: whoever wins gets credit for the vaccines and their positive effects on COVID outcomes. It is because that COVID ship was sailing regardless of who was in charge because really we were looking at manufacturing production schedules and testing guidelines that had little to nothing to do with White House politics.

The DNC and GOP were each hedging their bets on the narratives so they could control their respective cultists (if the GOP had won, the DNC would have continued to undermine and distrust the vaccine so that COVID deaths could (still) be blamed squarely on Trump, and the GOP would probably have gone full pro-vaccine to boost their numbers — with Biden in office, now it's the opposite). But even with their respective narrativizing to hold their voters hostage, vaccine rollout has remained relatively predictable.

A World Health Organization official said Monday it is reclassifying the highly contagious triple-mutant Covid variant spreading in India as a “variant of concern” at the global level.

Maria Van Kerkhove, the WHO’s technical lead for Covid-19, said the agency will provide more details in its Situation Report on Tuesday but added the variant, known as B.1.617, has been found in preliminary studies to spread easier than the original virus and that there is some evidence it may able to evade vaccines.

not evade vaccines...ur vaccine dunt work as well, just like how they twisted dazzlin lightshow with "dangerous debris"
