Anything past 1000 more years and it's hard to imagine anything more than a few smallish pockets of humans being left. Maybe a few million in total.

Notice, above all, for instance, that the plot of "Don't Look Up" hinges on the story structure that the thing is *definitely* happening — even though, ironically, the thing that is happening in "Don't Look Up" (a world-ending comet) is 100% a fiction. That is, in addition to coding non-experts as "low class", the studio accidentally admits — by using the trope of a thing that is verifiably and *definitely* happening — that it must lie to the audience about the thing that is "happening" in order to convince them to side with the "experts". But there are simple facts that deranged leftists do not incorporate into their models: 1) The West's use of oil, gas, and nuclear is cleaner and safer than that of the Global South 2) The Global South is polluting un-checked 3) "Green" energy requires a huge amount of pollution via strip-mining and refining processes and often does not overcome the inefficiency of its production before its replacement window 4) "Sustainability" frameworks used in the West directly support the expansion of the Global South's (BRICS+') oil, gas, and nuclear and their strip-mining of "green" resources for the West, which they then sell to the West (i.e., the West builds their high-pollution infrastructure and buys the products of that pollution infrastructure) 5) By dismantling Western energy, the West will be beholden to BRICS+ for its "green" (high pollution) energy every time "green" energy falls outside of its efficiency window (e.g., every time your electric car's $20,000 battery fails it will have to be replaced through BRICS+ supply chains — and the subsidies that hid that $20,000 cost will eventually disappear) 6) The oppressor/oppressed dialectic is propaganda designed to coax Western adoption of this suicidal strategy, destroy the West, and empower BRICS+ which will pollute un-checked So the leftist believes that the West alone should respond to global pollution, and in this psychotic strategy the leftist causes overall global pollution to *increase* for the benefit of the West's enemies. And the "best" part?
