Missing the point. Peoples' complaints with Musk pushing H1B isn't that he himself is an immigrant, it's that the tech industry tends to abuse H1B to undercut American jobs by farming them out to lower-cost immigrant labor.

H1Bs after all are not "visas for the best and brightest," as their proponents would claim. All you need is a bachelor's degree, and many of the applicants are entering into jobs that are not particularly high level.

Sam's comments about second-generation imports clearly pertain to immigrant families who fail to assimilate despite living in their host country for multiple generations. If a second generation man feels more affinity for Palestine than England, then that's a failure of your national immigration and assimilation policies.

The children of immigrants who quickly internalize the values of their adopted land are obviously not considered imports.

There is an element of the right that has a disturbing obsession with race and genetics. But using race/nationality/etc. is a method of stereotyping immigrants who (fairly or not) are considered unlikely to be able to assimilate. No one would care about Ahmad al-Ahmadi's genetics if he was a flag-saluting, hard-working individual who was grateful for the opportunity to become a citizen of his new mother country, as opposed to being bitter at how much his new country sucks.
