I am looking forward to seeing the post debate polls. French is kind of the liberal leaders achilles heel. He is not great at it. The French debate is a hurdle I am sure he is glad to be done with eitehr way.

It is been increasing common since Harper that candidates for party leadership (ie: those who might become prime minister) not to be bilingual.

If it were 'expected' than the majority of federal party leaders in the past 20 years would know French.
