patom rank	Tue Dec 02 19:18:23 I'm glad my wife doesn't like to travel. We've been to Acadia a half dozen times in the last 40 years. Hell, I live within an hour of the park. Been there done that. Never once was I asked for proof of citizenship. I'm guessing that if ICE is able to nab enough people at the parks listed, they will expand operations to places like Disneyland.

You know damned well the youth of today are too fucking lazy to bust their ass in the fields all day harvesting or planting the very food you demand from the grocery stores. Can you picture any of your kids working in a slaughterhouse killing and butchering beef cattle, poultry, pigs, etc. Are you willing to pay high enough wages to attract that kind of labor from our pampered youth today?

Teens, illegal or otherwise don't work in slaughterhouses. Plenty of legal adult males would take those jobs. Legal teens would take jobs at fast food restaurants, but those are dominated by middle aged illegals.

Not all of us are Northeastern government workers. I would expect them to earn a fair wage and not be competing with Hondurans working for below minimum wage, or taking cash compensation to avoid benefits. It's not specifically about immigration, but it is exacerbated by employment legislation that illegals do not adhere to.

They were acquitted in criminal proceedings but paid millions in civil settlements. -2008 ICE raid arrested 400 Guatemalan workers at Agriprocesors; CEO Sholom Rubashkin (lol) was sentenced to 27 years, the company is bankrupt, and millions were paid in fines/forfeitures. -2008 ICE raid nabbed almost 600 illegal workers. 4 managers convicted, millions in penalties. -2011 ICE audits found Chipotle employeed thousands of illegals. Mass firings and mandated backpay to legal workers. -2015 investigation caught Golden Employment Group knowingly staffing farms with hundreds of illegal workers. Owner sentenced to a decade in prison, over 5 million in fines and forfeitures. -2017 ICE audits found that Asplundh Tree Expert Co. had intentionally re-hired previously fired illegals with fraudulent documents following a 2009 ICE audit. Asplundh was nailed with a record $95 million forfeiture. -2019 ICE raids caught multiple separate poultry plants in Mississippi, arrested almost ~700 illegals, over $15 million in fines and mandated back wages. -2021 audit caught DLS Precision Fab re-hiring illegals with fraudulent documents. $2 million in fines and 18 months in prison for the owner. I9 audits are more widespread than ever, and criminal and civil courts have systematically dismantled the staffing agency defense. Again, this is something that you have been insulated against for decades due to sheer geography and your ideological bubble.
