rank | Wed Dec 17 00:20:03 This is the clearest and most overt signal by Hollywood that they are not about profit - they're about pushing a social agenda and enforcing that agenda. Its been years since a Disney animated or marvel movie as been a success, and rather than pivoting to different sorts of narratives or content, they've begun blaming 'toxic online critics' for their flops and threatening legal action. And now for a rather rough transition: Capitalism and communism have no distinguishable differences except the institutions that siphon wealth are reversed. The goals and tactics are the same. Capitalism just lied (past tense) about its goals more convincingly. |
