China is in a kind of unique position to take advantage of the situation right now. As Iran's biggest supporter they can partially dictate how long Iran can be a pest in the region. Oil prices went up a good jump so it makes sense to sell off reserves. Also makes sense to sell short if you think the price will drop in the next month or so. China is taking advantage and playing the market. If Trump does what he says he will do China wins. Oil prices drop and China replenishes their reserves with the lower priced oil. You can bet the USA and other countries are doing the same.
