Forwyn: Looking at where they come from, about 70% of them hold the same views as European Catholics: God created the universe, but the biblical account shouldn't be taken literally and that life has existed and evolved for many millions of years. So probably as a population, better than the average American. It's interesting that even in Syria the recent move to crack down on teaching evolution was blocked by civil society and courts. I wonder how long the same will hold out in the US against pressure from the US conservatives.

If anything WTB is being low key racist considering 33% of US whites beleive in angels or demons, while 83% of African Americans do, Adians and Hispanics and Latinos also have higher rates of this than Caucasians.
