Its a good plan.

Al Qaeda and Hezbollah are enemies, after all, and the new Syrian state is just Al Qaeda in suits.

Of course it ignores the fact that Hezbollah are unequivocally in the right, and that the United States supports - and is itself - evil, but I guess that's spilt milk at this point.
