If you're going to execute people, hiding from public view just allows citizens to ignore what the government is doing in their name. This country took his family in when they fled the West Bank. Rather than gratitude or getting the fuck out if he wasn't happy here, he chose to murder US soldiers. Civilised countries largely dispensed with that before they got rid of the death penalty. Plus there's something that looks particularly pathetic about having a line of able bodied men shooting a cripple in a wheel chair.
